Arque\u00f3logos del Instituto Nacional de Antropolog\u00eda e Historia (INAH) descubrieron un cenote debajo del convento franciscano de Izamal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Al respecto, Helena Barba Meinecke, titular de Arqueolog\u00eda Subacu\u00e1tica del INAH en la Pen\u00ednsula de Yucat\u00e1n, revel\u00f3 que lo primero que se encontr\u00f3 en el sitio son instrumentos que datan de los siglos XIX y XX, los cuales serv\u00edan para tapar el cenote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-101208 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IZAMAL-CENOTE4-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"643\" height=\"482\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hoy por la ma\u00f1ana una maquinaria fue colocada por la parte de la calle 28, detr\u00e1s del convento en donde antes se encontraba una noria de tipo rectangular que form\u00f3 parte del huerto de este edificio del siglo XV.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-101209 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IZAMAL-CENOTE3-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hasta el momento, las primeras excavaciones han arrojado restos de vasijas y diversos objetos que el personal del INAH ha estado clasificando.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-101207 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IZAMAL-CENOTE5-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"616\" height=\"308\" \/> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Seg\u00fan una fuente extraoficial, este proyecto buscar\u00eda corroborar la hip\u00f3tesis de que Fray Diego de Landa ocult\u00f3 parte de los c\u00f3dices mayas que no fueron destruidos en el acto de fe de Man\u00ed, con el cual este misionero espa\u00f1ol trat\u00f3 de borrar cualquier rastro de la cultura maya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Algunas calles como la 26 hasta la 30 y la 28 entre 31 y 33 estuvieron cerradas al tr\u00e1fico para que, con apoyo de maquinaria, personal del INAH rompiera parte de la calle 28.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-101210 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IZAMAL-CENOTE2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"611\" height=\"458\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Barba Meinecke detall\u00f3 que esta cavidad pudo suministrar de agua a los monjes que habitaban el convento hasta 1848, pues en dicho a\u00f1o se abandon\u00f3 el lugar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La antrop\u00f3loga se\u00f1al\u00f3 que, en esta primera excavaci\u00f3n, se encontraron dos niveles de piso, los cuales estar\u00edan en la entrada del cenote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-101211 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IZAMAL-CENOTE1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"609\" height=\"457\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sobre el primer piso se explic\u00f3 que fue construido durante el siglo XIX, por lo que esperan que el siguiente piso date de la \u00e9poca
