En reconocimiento al maestro Tom\u00e1s Ceballos Campos por sus 60 a\u00f1os de experiencia en la escena teatral, el Alcalde Alejandro Ruz Castro<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>le entreg\u00f3 la medalla H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d 2024, presea con la que se distingue a mujeres y hombres que con sus obras, trayectoria y aportaciones, enaltecen al teatro regional yucateco.<\/p>\n

En la sesi\u00f3n solemne de Cabildo<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, efectuada en el sal\u00f3n de Cabildo \u201cRosa Torre Gonz\u00e1lez\u201d, el Presidente Municipal record\u00f3 que esta medalla tiene 13 a\u00f1os de otorgarse a quienes con sus obras, trayectoria y aportaciones promueven el teatro regional, fusionando las costumbres y tradiciones del pueblo yucateco con la comedia, la parodia y el humor.<\/p>\n

Teatro regional nos hermana como yucatecos<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cEl teatro regional nos hermana como yucatecos, representa nuestro \u201ccal\u00f3\u201d a la hora de hablar y nuestro bagaje cultural, nos hace sentir orgullosamente hijos de esta tierra y fieles a nuestras costumbres y tradiciones, que destacan por su riqueza en elementos inherentes a nuestro pasado y patrimonio cultural\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n

\"medalla<\/p>\n

Sin duda, abund\u00f3, nuestro amigo \u201cCholo\u201d es singular, \u00fanico e irrepetible, como irrepetible tambi\u00e9n es con toda seguridad para nuestro homenajeado, el maestro Tom\u00e1s Ceballos Campos, el privilegio de haber colaborado y gozado de la amistad de don H\u00e9ctor Herrera, unidos a trav\u00e9s de proyectos teatrales en un camino compartido con una larga trayectoria art\u00edstica.<\/p>\n

M\u00e1s de 50 obras dirigidas<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Al referirse al recipiendario, Ruz Castro recalc\u00f3 que las m\u00e1s de 50 obras que ha dirigido, forman parte de esa experiencia que comparti\u00f3 como director de escena del maestro H\u00e9ctor Herrera, permitiendo seguir impulsando nuevos talentos del teatro regional.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstoy seguro que don H\u00e9ctor Herrera ser\u00eda el primero en estar de acuerdo con el razonamiento que nos lleva a reconocer la dedicaci\u00f3n y empe\u00f1o del maestro Tom\u00e1s Ceballos Campos, como fiel promotor del teatro regional en Yucat\u00e1n\u201d, manifest\u00f3.<\/p>\n

En su intervenci\u00f3n, el homenajeado agradeci\u00f3 al Ayuntamiento por el reconocimiento a su trayectoria reflejada en la distinci\u00f3n recibida, asimismo record\u00f3 que el trabajo realizado por don H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d siempre fue del agrado de ciudadanos y visitantes.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuiero recordarles que cuando el turismo viene a estos lugares y despu\u00e9s de haber visitado las ruinas mayas y quedar satisfechos con la gastronom\u00eda tanto la aut\u00f3ctona como mestiza en la noche sol\u00eda ir al teatro de Cholo\u201d, coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Igualmente, alent\u00f3 al Ayuntamiento a continuar abriendo espacios para seguir impulsando al teatro regional donde dijo tambi\u00e9n se le pueda enaltecer las obras de otros autores como Juan Garc\u00eda Ponce y Leopoldo Peniche Vallado.<\/p>\n

14 recipiendarios de la medalla<\/strong><\/h4>\n

En su mensaje, Ruz Castro record\u00f3 que la Medalla H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d, quien este d\u00eda estar\u00eda cumpliendo 90 a\u00f1os, ha sido recibida por 14 personas, entre las que figuran Judith P\u00e9rez Romero (2011), Manuel Lizama Salazar (2012), Alicia Arizpe Mart\u00ednez \u201cLa China\u201d (2013), Jazm\u00edn L\u00f3pez Manrique \u201cTina Tuyub\u201d, (2014), Francisco R\u00edos \u201cZapote\u201d(2015), Narda Acevedo L\u00f3pez \u201cChonita\u201d(2016), Nancy Roche Reyes (2017),\u00a0 Concepci\u00f3n Mora \u201cConchi Le\u00f3n\u201d(2018), Mario Herrera Flores \u201cMario III\u201d(2019), Andrea Herrera L\u00f3pez (2020), \u00c9rik \u00c1vila \u201cCuxum\u201d (2021),\u00a0 Vicky Villa (2022), Elmer Octavio de Guadalupe Ayil Ortega \u201cOctavio Ayil\u201d (2023) y Tom\u00e1s Ceballos Campos (2024).<\/p>\n

\u201cCholo ha sido y yo afirmar\u00eda, contin\u00faa siendo, un personaje ic\u00f3nico que vive en la memoria colectiva de miles de yucatecos quienes seguimos disfrutando sus peculiares di\u00e1logos, enredos y ocurrencias en cualquier sitio en que se encontrara: ya sea en un mercado, la plaza grande, el parque de alg\u00fan pueblo o un mitin pol\u00edtico, o bien, caracterizado como \u201ccandidato presidencial\u201d, artista del momento, polic\u00eda, pol\u00edtico o un dios del Olimpo\u201d, continu\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Como Ayuntamiento, a\u00f1adi\u00f3, nos sentimos muy orgullosos de haber impulsado la creaci\u00f3n de esta presea que conserva la esencia de don H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d, para reconocer y festejar lo mejor de nosotros como yucatecos que sabemos re\u00edr y divertirnos sanamente.<\/p>\n

Semblanza del homenajeado<\/strong><\/h4>\n

En el Sal\u00f3n de Cabildo, la regidora Celia Rivas Rodr\u00edguez dio lectura al dictamen de la Comisi\u00f3n de Postulaci\u00f3n de la medalla H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d y present\u00f3 la semblanza del homenajeado. De igual manera, se proyectaron videos alusivos a la biograf\u00eda y trayectoria del recipiendario y de don H\u00e9ctor Herrera \u201cCholo\u201d.<\/p>\n

En el evento estuvieron presentes, adem\u00e1s de las y los regidores, la s\u00edndica municipal, Diana Canto Moreno; el secretario municipal, Julio Sauma Castillo; Ver\u00f3nica Cetina Puerto, esposa del Alcalde y presidenta del DIF M\u00e9rida; Loreto Villanueva Trujillo, secretaria de la Cultura y las Artes; y el director de Cultura, Irving Berl\u00edn Villafa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
