La presidenta municipal Cecilia Patr\u00f3n Laviada<\/strong> inaugur\u00f3 este domingo 13 de septiembre el primer Corredor Verde de M\u00e9rida, ubicado en Ciudad Caucel, una intervenci\u00f3n de 59 mil 046.55 metros cuadrados<\/strong> que busca mejorar las condiciones ambientales y favorecer la movilidad de la fauna urbana.<\/p>\n

La obra abarca 1.36 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong> y surgi\u00f3 del programa de Presupuesto Participativo Dise\u00f1a tu Ciudad 2025, con participaci\u00f3n del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica de Yucat\u00e1n (CICY).<\/p>\n

Corredor Verde de M\u00e9rida suma m\u00e1s de mil \u00e1rboles<\/h2>\n

El espacio cuenta con m\u00e1s de mil \u00e1rboles de 29 especies nativas<\/strong>, distribuidos en \u00e1reas como el Jard\u00edn Solar, Jard\u00edn Rejollada y senderos inspirados en la Selva Baja Caducifolia.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n incluye un estanque con puente peatonal, jardines polinizadores, senderos, sistema de riego automatizado, biofiltros y monitoreo de humedales.<\/p>\n

La infraestructura incorpora iluminaci\u00f3n sustentable de baja intensidad y luminarias LED<\/strong> para reducir las afectaciones a la fauna nocturna.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, se conservaron mont\u00edculos de piedra y tierra que funcionan como refugio para especies que habitan bajo el suelo, entre ellas reptiles y zarig\u00fceyas.<\/p>\n

La obra busca reducir el impacto del calor<\/h2>\n

El Ayuntamiento inform\u00f3 que la vegetaci\u00f3n y las superficies naturales contribuir\u00e1n a regular la temperatura ambiental<\/strong> en las colonias cercanas y generar espacios de convivencia m\u00e1s confortables.<\/p>\n

Patr\u00f3n Laviada afirm\u00f3 que los corredores verdes funcionan como pulmones urbanos y espacios de conservaci\u00f3n ante los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

El proyecto tambi\u00e9n busca conectar ecosistemas con \u00e1reas urbanas y favorecer la regeneraci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9rida proyecta un segundo Corredor Verde<\/h2>\n

La alcaldesa inform\u00f3 que m\u00e1s de 63 mil 400 \u00e1rboles han sido adoptados<\/strong> mediante \u201cUna familia, un \u00e1rbol\u201d, mientras otros 20 mil 500 fueron plantados mediante la Cruzada Forestal y jornadas de arborizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n mencion\u00f3 el Biocorredor del Parque Ecol\u00f3gico del Poniente, realizado con apoyo de la GIZ, y anunci\u00f3 que Brisas contar\u00e1 pr\u00f3ximamente con el segundo Corredor Verde de M\u00e9rida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
