Su nombre deriva de la palabra clavo (de los fabricados en fraguas artesanales), ya que la forma del bot\u00f3n floral guarda un gran parecido con ellos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los clavos de olor son un condimento especial para sazonar guisados o aportar un toque arom\u00e1tico a los platillos horneados. Su origen es Indonesia y se ha utilizado por los \u00faltimos 2 mil a\u00f1os. Adem\u00e1s de agregar un sabor muy particular a las comidas, los clavos de olor tienen propiedades que favorecen a nuestra salud. En t\u00e9rminos nutricionales, el clavo de olor contiene altos niveles de manganeso, magnesio, vitamina K, potasio, calcio y \u00e1cidos grasos omega-3, todos nutrientes que favorecen el funcionamiento del organismo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Muchos nos acordamos que en alg\u00fan momento nos aplicaron esta hierba por su poder anest\u00e9sico local en tratamientos odontol\u00f3gicos como arreglo de caries y conductos, y para tratar dolores de muelas y molestias de enc\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tambi\u00e9n contiene flavonoides que ayudan a reducir los niveles de az\u00facar en sangre. Aumenta la absorci\u00f3n de az\u00facar en la sangre y mejora la funci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas productoras de insulina, por lo que favorece la secreci\u00f3n de esta hormona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El eugenol presente en los clavos de olor mejora las funciones hep\u00e1ticas y reduce la inflamaci\u00f3n del h\u00edgado. Esta especia revierte los signos de cirrosis hep\u00e1tica y ayuda a la cicatrizaci\u00f3n de este \u00f3rgano.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otro gran beneficio es para tratar problemas digestivos ya que estimula las secreciones salivares y g\u00e1stricas, y puede combatir casos de diarrea.
