{"id":70544,"date":"2021-08-29T16:37:30","date_gmt":"2021-08-29T21:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/?p=70544"},"modified":"2021-08-29T16:37:30","modified_gmt":"2021-08-29T21:37:30","slug":"tamarin-y-lemur-nuevas-especies-en-el-centenario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/tamarin-y-lemur-nuevas-especies-en-el-centenario\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamar\u00edn y L\u00e9mur nuevas especies en el Centenario"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M\u00e9rida, Yucat\u00e1n; 29 de agosto de 2021.- Con el prop\u00f3sito de favorecer el bienestar y la correcta conservaci\u00f3n de la fauna silvestre que habita en el Parque Zool\u00f3gico del Centenario, el Ayuntamiento de M\u00e9rida realiz\u00f3 el primer intercambio de este a\u00f1o de especies excedentes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con lo anterior se busca tambi\u00e9n evitar la consanguineidad entre los animales, adem\u00e1s de ampliar el cat\u00e1logo de ejemplares del zool\u00f3gico para que los visitantes puedan conocer otras especies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El intercambio se efectu\u00f3 hace unas semanas con el Akumal Monkey Sanctuary &amp; Rescued Animals. El Centenario entreg\u00f3 una cebra nacida en las instalaciones de este zool\u00f3gico el 9 de abril de 2019. En el nuevo hogar de la cebra hay un ejemplar macho de su misma especie, con lo que se busca asegurar la reproducci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de evitar que las nuevas cr\u00edas de estos animales en el parque local nazcan con alguna malformaci\u00f3n al descender de ejemplares consangu\u00edneos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Secretar\u00eda del Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales autoriz\u00f3 dicho intercambio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A su vez, el Centenario recibi\u00f3 una pareja de Tamarin Copete de Algod\u00f3n (Saguinus oedipus) y un ejemplar hembra de L\u00e9mur Cola de Anillada (Lemur catta).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-70545 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Lemur.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El jefe del Parque Zool\u00f3gico del Centenario, Iber Rodr\u00edguez Castillo, subray\u00f3 que parte del compromiso municipal es el cuidado integral de los animales que albergan los zool\u00f3gicos y con este intercambio se abre la posibilidad de formar nuevos grupos seg\u00fan lo requieren las caracter\u00edsticas biol\u00f3gicas de los ejemplares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El funcionario mencion\u00f3 que por el momento los nuevos inquilinos se encuentran en cuarentena como indica el protocolo de bioseguridad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNo presentan lesiones y se encuentran en aparente buen estado de salud, asimismo se trabaja en la preparaci\u00f3n de procesos para adaptarlos a su nuevo hogar y se realizar\u00e1 la adecuaci\u00f3n de los exhibidores a donde se les trasladar\u00e1 cuando termine el per\u00edodo de cuarentena\u201d, indic\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-70546 aligncenter\"
