Se llama agenesia dental, y es una anomal\u00eda cong\u00e9nita. Hasta ahora no hab\u00eda como combatirla, pero gracias un nuevo medicamento, ser\u00eda posible regenerar esas piezas dentales faltantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El cient\u00edfico y profesor de la Universidad de Kyot Katsu Takahashi, es qui\u00e9n ha liderado la investigaci\u00f3n que identific\u00f3 las mol\u00e9culas responsables del desarrollo de\u00a0dientes, la respuesta para combatir la agenesia dental.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4><strong>Por qu\u00e9 algunas personas nacen con menos dientes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las personas que nacen con menos\u00a0dientes\u00a0sufren de la enfermedad antes mencionada. La agenesia dental es una anomal\u00eda craneofaciales muy com\u00fan durante el desarrollo humano. Se trata de un desorden heterog\u00e9neo, que viene determinado gen\u00e9ticamente y que se manifiesta como la ausencia cong\u00e9nita de uno o m\u00e1s\u00a0dientes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin embargo, con un nuevo\u00a0medicamento, es posible suprimir el elemento gen\u00e9tico que genera esta anomal\u00eda, seg\u00fan el nuevo estudio, que ha identificado las mol\u00e9culas fundamentales responsables del desarrollo de los\u00a0dientes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-76074 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Dientes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<h4><strong>C\u00f3mo act\u00faa el medicamento para regenerar dientes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La investigaci\u00f3n lleg\u00f3 desde la Universidad de Kioto y de Fukui en Jap\u00f3n, donde ya est\u00e1n desarrollando un anticuerpo para un gen (gen-1 o USAG-1 asociado a la sensibilizaci\u00f3n uterina) que ha demostrado estimular el crecimiento de estos en ratones que padecen agenesia dental que es una afecci\u00f3n cong\u00e9nita.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLa morfog\u00e9nesis de los dientes individuales depende de las interacciones de varias mol\u00e9culas, incluida la BMP, o prote\u00edna morfogen\u00e9tica \u00f3sea, y la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de Wnt\u201d, asegura Takahashi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los investigadores japoneses identificaron las causas gen\u00e9ticas de aquellas personas que tienen demasiados\u00a0dientes, y comprendieron c\u00f3mo se generan, para poder\u00a0regenerar\u00a0aquellos que no han crecido en pacientes adultos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De esta forma lograron identificar el gen-1 o USAG-1, con el que luego desarrollaron un\u00a0medicamento\u00a0que es capaz de\u00a0regenerar\u00a0los\u00a0dientes, al menos, en ratones, suprimiendo el efecto de ese gen con la mol\u00e9cula BMP y Wnt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El estudio se encuentra en fase experimental, y ha sido probado en diferentes animales, fundamentalmente en ratones. Pero el equipo de investigadores espera poder probarlo pronto en humanos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El desarrollo del\u00a0medicamento\u00a0para\u00a0regenerar\u00a0dientes ser\u00e1 fundamental para los pacientes que tienen agenesia dental u otras afecciones que le impidan el desarrollo normal de su dentadura.
