{"id":86516,"date":"2022-05-25T10:12:46","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T15:12:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/?p=86516"},"modified":"2022-05-25T09:52:36","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T14:52:36","slug":"van-131-casos-de-viruela-de-mono-en-paises-no-endemicos-oms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reporteroshoy.mx\/noticias\/van-131-casos-de-viruela-de-mono-en-paises-no-endemicos-oms\/","title":{"rendered":"Van 131 casos de viruela de mono en pa\u00edses no end\u00e9micos: OMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Estados Unidos; 25 de mayo de 2022 (adn40).- La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) dio a conocer que los casos de viruela del mono confirmados en las \u00faltimas semanas en pa\u00edses no end\u00e9micos ya suman 131, con otros 106 casos sospechosos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La\u00a0OMS\u00a0inform\u00f3 que los pa\u00edses en donde se han notificado m\u00e1s contagios son Espa\u00f1a (40), Portugal (37) y Reino Unido (20).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hasta el momento, se han confirmado casos de la\u00a0viruela del mono\u00a0en 17 pa\u00edses, la mayor parte europeos, sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n se han registrado casos en Pakist\u00e1n (2), Israel (1), Canad\u00e1 (5), Estados Unidos (2) y Australia (2).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, la\u00a0OMS\u00a0detall\u00f3 que Espa\u00f1a es el pa\u00eds con m\u00e1s casos sospechosos de la viruela del mono (51), seguido de Canad\u00e1 (17) e Italia (15). Tambi\u00e9n hay un posible contagio en Argentina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La experta Rosamund Lewis, del departamento de viruela de la\u00a0OMS, explic\u00f3 en una rueda de prensa que por ahora los focos de contagio son peque\u00f1os, es decir, se encuentran en familias y grupos de conocidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lewis dijo que la principal v\u00eda de transmisi\u00f3n de viruela del mono es el contacto estrecho, por lo que el riesgo para la poblaci\u00f3n en general es \u201cbajo\u201d por el momento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La especialista recomend\u00f3 a quienes desarrollen estos s\u00edntomas consultar a profesionales, mantenerse aislados en sus domicilios y evitar el contacto con otras personas.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"text-align: justify;\">La ma\u00f1ana del pasado lunes 23 de mayo, expertos y asesores de la\u00a0OMS\u00a0confirmaron que la vacuna contra la viruela previene un 85% la viruela del mono.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los especialistas informaron del comienzo de un protocolo de trabajo con los pa\u00edses afectados por esta\u00a0enfermedad,\u00a0sin embargo,
